Rome is the capital city and most populated comune (municipality)
of Italy. It is also the administrative centre of the Lazio region
and of the Metropolitan City of Rome. A special comune named Roma
Capitale with 2,746,984 residents in 1,287.36 km2, Rome is the
third most populous city in the European Union by population
within city limits.
Vatican City (the smallest country in the world and headquarters
of the worldwide Catholic Church under the governance of the Holy
See) is an independent country inside the city boundaries of Rome,
the only existing example of a country within a city. Rome is
often referred to as the City of Seven Hills due to its geography,
and also as the ยซ Eternal City ยป.
Rome is generally considered to be one of the cradles of Western
civilization and Western Christian culture, and the centre of the
Catholic Church.

Vatican
The Vatican, a city-state located in the heart of Rome (Italy), is the seat of the Roman Catholic Church and the residence of the pope. It houses many iconic works of art and architecture. The Vatican Museums contain ancient Roman sculptures such as the famous "Laocoon Group", as well as Renaissance frescoes in the rooms of Raphael and the Sistine Chapel, known for its ceiling made by Michelangelo.

Trevi Fountain
The Trevi Fountain (Fontana di Trevi) is an 18th-century fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, Italy, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762 and several others. Standing 26.3 metres (86 ft) high and 49.15 metres (161.3 ft) wide, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world.

Roman Forum
The Roman Forum (Foro Romano), also known by its Latin name Forum Romanum, is a rectangular forum (plaza) surrounded by the ruins of several important ancient government buildings at the centre of the city of Rome. Citizens of the ancient city referred to this space, originally a marketplace, as the Forum Magnum, or simply the Forum.
